HOW DOES IT WORK? In order to best serve my clients, I require a brief, pre-meeting survey to be filled out online by the learner or parent/guardian. The purpose of this survey is to provide the information I need to adequately prepare for the session and to make the most of our time together. The tutoring would take place in a public library or the home of the student. For home sessions, a parent/guardian must be present. Contact (see below) and scheduling is done primarily via email, however I can be reached over the phone if needed.

WHAT ARE MY QUALIFICATIONS? I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Biology (Cum Laude) from CUNY Queens College. I received the distinction of High Honors in Biology for having the highest departmental GPA in my graduating class. After working briefly as a laboratory technician, I returned to school and earned my master’s degree in Secondary Science Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. I have taught integrated science and math at the NYC public school Quest to Learn for the past three years. My experiences working in the field and my passion for learning have inspired me to leave the classroom and return to school for my doctoral degree. I am currently an Enhanced Chancellor’s Fellow at the CUNY Graduate Center working full-time towards my Ph.D. in Educational Psychology.

*Although I do not possess a degree in mathematics, engineering, or physics, I can assure you that I am quite capable of tutoring the NYS mathematics curriculum. I am very comfortable with and have a deep understanding of the subject.
